Finishworks of San Francisco has been in business and working out of the same location since 1978.  Over the years, we have completed hundreds of  high-end residential projects all over the Bay Area.  Clay Young, the owner and general contractor, started out as a boy with broom, pick and shovel, helping his architect-builder dad to build custom vacation homes in the Hamptons of eastern Long Island.  After graduating from Northwestern University, Young moved to San Francisco where he strengthened his building skills, specializing in fine woodwork.   Examples of his craft have been published in House & Garden , Better Homes & Gardens , and Fine Homebuilding.
